I apply 2 part epoxy to the face on Thanksgiving, right after lunch of course, and it'll last till Jan. 30. It is a bitch to take it off though!

My 9 yo watches Duck commander all the time. He sees them wear it. When he goes hunting with me and he wants to wear , then I am all for it.. If it keeps him going with me them ,no big deal!!!
But we do take it off when we leave the field. Also, it does keep his little white face hidden.

Not a fan of the facepaint. Hate having that crap on my face. I usually wear a mask or go without altogether. I do keep some in my blind bag in case somebody else needs it or I lose my facemask and gotta have something on my face. I don't remember the last time I used it though. I'm not gonna say somebody is less of a hunter for wearing it, but folks do look ridiculous when they think they need to look like one of the members of Kiss in the duck blind, or at Wendy's.

How about next month we discuss face paint. Then the month after we can discuss face paint. Then about a month before opening day of duck season we can discuss face paint. But we have to remember to discuss face paint during early teal season. Then we can discuss it during duck season when we see pictures of face paint, then again during duck season, then one more time during duck season. Then discuss it again in the spring when someone ask about wearing face paint for turkey hunting. Then again... and again... and again.

I don't wear it, but care less what others do. And I'd rather play golf than go hunting and NOT watch ducks. That's what shadows, the edge of the pit blind, cover and caps are for.

Agreed. Kinda pointless to go and not actually watch the birds work. I have worn it and might again, just depends on the situation.

That's cause your idle is Phil Robertson.
I don't, have as a joke and have as a kid.
As an adult, I know how to watch birds reflection in the water and / or keep my self in the shadows to keep from being busted.
I was thinking about this thread the other day and I think a lot of the strong feelings probably come from pride. The thought that if you have to go to the extent to have to wear face paint to hunt and kill an animal with such a small brain that they are not as good a hunter as they think they should be. That may be wear I fall.

I never had to watch the water when I had Drake. I would just peek up at him cause I knew he was following them. I feel like some of the folks on here spend more time worrying about what everyone else does or doesnt do then worrying about themselves. What the heck does it matter? If somebody wants to go full negro in public at 3 in the afternoon, then its on them to look like an idiot. If you kill ducks with a slingshot while watching them from underwater, while breathing through a reed, then hey I bow down. Honestly, what does it matter what somebody else does? The fact that I have painted up doesnt mean crap, I had a buddy(older than me) that enjoyed it. Not cause he thought he needed it, but just for the heck of it and I had no problem abliging him. We had fun with it. Some of my fondest memories of him were of hm lookin like tar baby and having a blast bustin limits of mallards. He's gone now and Im glad we had those memories together. No, I dont paint up everytime I go, but when I went with him, you bet your titties I would if he wanted. I just dont see what the hell it matters.
