Dang there are some sore losers in this thread.

State can dish it out all day but can't take it.

Seriously, you want to complain about Mullen on our jumbo tron and the mocking of a train signal? Cry me a river.

State has been smearing ole miss with a hate campaign for the last 3 years. Get over yourselves.

The better team won, plain and simple. Total domination.

I mean if you really want to talk about classiness and appropriateness check out the MSU player (it appears to be #30) shoving and trying to fight one of our coaches at the 3:38 mark of this video is the epitome of class......

To me it looked like the Rebels were just enjoying and celebrating a win after going 0-3 the past 3 years. State fans can say whatever ya'll want to about the game meaning nothing, but we all know you wanted to win this game more than any of your 3 conference wins over Auburn, Ky, and TN (who's only combined conference win was when TN beat KY). We enjoyed the victory and I think we handled ourselves accordingly. It's not our fault your coach, players and admin publicly rubbed our noses in your last 3 victories. But if it makes you feel better, please take solace in the fact that Freeze, Bjork and staff will not publicly hold this victory over your heads, so if you wish to forget about it and set your delusional season behind you, you will, in all ways, be aided in that process by the Ole Miss Rebels. Freeze and Co. will only remind you of it once more this year, on Feb. 6 when Moore, Conner and Shumpert all ink NLOI to play against ya'll on Nov. 30th of next year.............It's ok, you'll survive.......we did!!!
Do you mean right after one of your coaches hit him in the back with something? Yeah, I saw it.

Good lord....that was a player swinging a towel at least 3 or 4 yards behind him....the coach he pushed is no where close to him when he comes up and starts to shove him.......

Why did the U of Mississippi fans charge the field after the game?

Because we beat state for the first time in 3 years to become bowl eligible after a two win season. Why not? Why did state wear those moronic jerseys again?

Marketing, ya dig?

For the record, I hate em and hated the Snowbowl unis. Go ahead throw the matte finish helmets in there as well.

State needs to take note from Georgia and bury those things and just wish they never had even thought of it

At first I was mad that the Bulldogs lost.....and I wish we could of made it 4 in a row.....so don't take what i am about to say as "I am glad we lost".....but it is funny to watch the Mississippi fans and their reaction to winning. If I had a nickle for every time time heard a Rebel fan say the game wasnt important and that LSU was their real rival......to now watching them charge the field....what changed?

Say what you want about Mullen, but he has pulled the State fan base and the campus together like no other time I can remember in the last 25 years.....and to be totally honest, we have a mojo that U of Mississippi has had many time in the last 25 years, and I think the unity of the Bulldog nation pisses you Bears off. Congrats on the win Bears! For what it's worth.....like him or hate him......but we all need to thank Dan Mullen for putting the spark back in the rivalry

Stitch, you seem to have a very short memory. That's ok, I'll remind you.
Here is the egg bowl victory in 2009 with the "dawgs" on the field. Please explain

I will have to give credit where credit is due, before Mullen came I pulled for state as long as it didn't involve my rebels. He ended that for me. So yes he renewed the rivalry for me anyway. But no matter who you are you have to admit his trash talking WAS a little overboard and if rebel fans were overly excited to you, all fingers are pointed directly at mr Mullen..... Although he never had a chance to see those fingers because his eyes never left the grass as he strolled out of south tunnel...

I dont think he was trying to say that the dogs dont get excited enough to storm the field in this rivalry, I think his point was that when the dogs were down and out in the late Sherrill and Croom days that many Ole Miss fans were basically too good for the OM/State rivalry. As he stated in his post, many OM fans stated that LSU was their true rival and that State was not deserving of that honor anymore. It has gone from that to storming the field over a game at which one point was discounted because State sucked at the time, now on their climb back up its all of a sudden relevant again.

I will be the first to admit that a lot of what Mullen does is arrogant and stirs up the caca pot a little too much at times. I always said that all of that talk would eventually come back to bite him. At least all of his stirring has renewed a rivalry and put State in a more favorable category than we were four years ago.
