Now losing 3 deer.........I think my pods are justified. Shot 7 last year 0 losses all with pod and rage. I did have less than adequete penetration one one but the ol pod saved me. Oneof those 3 could have been the ONE. Just ask ol chooper bout that. You can't put em in the book if you can't find em.

You can't put them in the book with a pod either unless you tell a lilwhitelie.

I dont hunt for books ............its a personLL THING

You can't put em on the wall if they in the middle of a cutover and you have no idea where to begin looking. As for the field points.......no thank you even with a pod I am ethical and beleive in quick kills thats why I shoot a pod. Also with our weather you only have a short window to find em or they aint no good... letting em lay up the night is no option. I have a good dog as well just in case I have no blood. I want all the odds in my favor I can get. Just saying

rages are plain awesome. We go to texas every year for a group hog hunt and we make drives for them. Needless to say there are some careless shots made but every hog shot with a rage doesnt make it very far. They are devastating

im partial to thunder head 100 grains, but i also shoot pods, i have lost deer with muzzy, rockets, and thunder heads in the past 15+ yrs (and 70 + bow kills) of my bow hunting obsession, when not shooting pods, i have seen that a pod isn't as effective on well placed shots, but when you flinch, hit a twig, or deer ducks and causes a bad shot, they will rarley get outside 40 yrds of where they where hit. i shoot'm for the clean kills, and i not a book hunter so it doesn't matter to me.

G5's are the bomb. They are sharper now than they used to be but you still probably sharpen them on a stone. If you line them up with your fletchings they shoot straight as a fieldtip. They take a beating and hold up well. They are expensive but if you dont loose your arrow you can resharpen them and use them over and over. On a side note it really comes down to what your comfortable shooting and confident with. if you put any of them in the right spot it should kill a deer.
