What happened to those Dawgs, lastnight??

Postby CaptnT » Mon Sep 24, 2001 6:30 am

The only time I root for MS State is during the bowl games. I had a bad experience there years ago with a bunch of frat boys and my high-school sweetheart.............anyway,

You State fans better get ready for a thumpin' in the swamp. Do you REALLY think Spurrier is gonna let it happen two years in a row? Maybe this will be the reality check mentioned

Drake, did you hear the "moment of (non)silence"? Surely you won't try to minimize the poor form like young 22 did. Do most dawg fans approve this type behavior?!! The remarkable thing is that the fan was even thinking bout Ole Miss at that moment!!

That's funny GH22 says the guy said "Ole Miss" like he sat right there and heard it very clearly, but we have two other people who were there and say he said "Bin Laden". That goes to show you that GH22 will sometimes speak without even thinkin'.

Dixie Boy, I watched the game on tv. As the guy said "Go To Hell", I said to myself what is this guy doing. I figured that he said Ole Miss until I found out the guy was in the USC section. Over the TV it wasn't that clear, I just assumed the guy said Ole Miss, like we always do.

I wonder what the score would have been if SC had showed GH22 "much".

I got it from a SC player who graduated from my school...the student who yelled out the "Go to Hell" comment was a SC student and was called into the chancellors office today, Monday. It's been a big stir over in Columbia! I'm a Dawg through and through, but I thought the guys let down after that first drive. Can't do that against the Cocks anymore. I was at the game when they beat these other dawgs over here in Athens. By the way, the new QB at GA, David Greene, is from my high school. I'm real proud of him; he's a great kid, the kind you want your daughter to bring home one day! Wish he'd gone to the right Dawgs though! Keep the faith; we'll be alright MSU. By the way, Rebel fans, I sent you two boys from my school as walk-ons this year. They played on last year's state champion from GA. Hope they help y'all some...except when you play my Dawgs.

Meeka,
I will be the first to say that the person who yelled out during the moment of silence was way out of line. IMO, it showed nothing but disrespect to our country. There always has to be one person to mess up what everybody else is trying to keep respectable. I agree that Bin Laden needs to be taken care of and I dislike what he stands for as much as anyone, but there is a time and place for everything. On national TV is not the time for such a moment. On behalf of all Bulldogs, I apologize for his behavior.

I was at the game, and I admit, it was VERY inappropriate. But in a small small small way, it did fit into the program. As was mentioned earlier, the guy did not say "go to hell Ole Miss", he said "go to hell Bin Laden, go to hell". Either this guy was the biggest moron I've ever seen to have yelled out something like that, or he had some deep ties with somebody in New York that may have gotten injured or killed. Either way, he still should not have yell that out during the moment of silence.

I was at the game, and the fan that yelled during the moment of silence actually said "Go To Hell Ben Ladin," not Ole Miss. Either way, it was crude. Further, the yell came from the section where all the USC fans were sitting. I can't prove who said it,but it is worth noting.

As for the game, the offense sucked. We need recievers as bad as Ole Miss needs a running back, offensive line, and a defense. Madkin has never looked worse. If he has, I have either blocked it from my memory or didn't see it.

Since both teams are so lousy this season I vote that we just cancel Football for the remainder of this decade. Can I get a second?
