That is what they were going for. It was all about exaggeration. The special effects and the uniqueness of the way it was filmed was what made it so cool. The theatre atmosphere definitely made all these things incredible.

Don't rent Sin City if you didn't like 300. It wasn't nearly as good, but was the same director and he used a lot of the same effects and styles.

Ladder 49 if ya really wanna cry with your wife. But I am a weenie when it comes to those type movies: Men of honor, Forrest Gump, Titanic, 8 Seconds, etc. It is hard to look macho when you are tryin to choke back the tears LOL.

No, the Wedding Planner is what got us off of the Notebook!

Marshmaniac, Ladder 49 was a great movie. I boohooed like a baby.

I don't know why these threads always have to take a turn for the nasty, but my wife brings home the bacon, fries it up in a pan and NEVER lets me forget I'm a man. :lol:

We got that department covered, so let's just stick to non-x rated movies, please.
