Heard that a while back about the burner phone. Not sure I really believe that one. Also heard that the NCAA interviewed Chris Jones again and he gave them evidence against Ole Miss. Lastly I heard that AJ Browns dad would tell anybody around Starkville that would listen that Ole Miss was paying him $150,00 to come to Oxford so State would have to pony up as well.

Normally the truth lies somewhere in the middle. With that being the case, it makes me wonder if OM is cheating just like everyone else, but with their new found successes relative to past failures, they have drawn the attention of the NCAA and opposing SEC schools (specifically Bama and Nick Saban).

From reading between the lines a bit, the inference I've made is that Chris Jones COULD sink Freeze but has not given up what he has/knows.
The people that have been right all along were talking the burner phone angle pretty hard.

Yes of course. It's Bama's fault OM is in trouble.

Actually, Webb...I was complimenting Saban and Bama. They are perhaps the only program in the nation that has the stroke to take out another rival program through the SEC or NCAA. Saban and Mark Emmert are close friends and Bama has such a good relationship with the SEC that they would not try to protect OM.
Bama has lost two years in a row to Ole Miss - and is staring down the barrel of three in a row. If you can't beat them on the field, beat them off of it.
You cannot actually sit there with a straight face and tell us that is not, at a minimum, plausible.

Yes, Ole Miss has beaten Alabama 2 years in a row. Tack that on to the other 8 or so in the history of the series, and I guess there really is some world out there where people actually think Alabama has somehow manipulated or persuaded the NCAA to go after OM because they are worried about their recent "success."
Let me know who's next on the list in the grand plan to take out every program.

Isn't pretty much an accepted fact at this point that Saban turned Ole Miss in for paying money to Bo Scarborough? The reason Bo was suspended 4 games this year was allegedly because he had taken (and returned) cash from OM.

Accepted fact or allegedly?

Yes Saban made Scarborough report himself for the money Ole Miss gave him but this investigation started long before Ole Miss beat Bama and the original noise was not made by Bama. I understand the hate for Bama though, everybody hates them because they can't be as good as them so make excuses like oh the SEC protects them.

"The theory in SEC circles is simple. If Ole Miss doesn't get hit hard after significant academic fraud, heavy booster involvement and a nationally televised admission of a player taking money, the SEC West will turn into the Wild Wild West. The NCAA has a chance to make a statement as a deterrent for future behavior"
What will they do???

Interesting choice of words. Wild Wild West ...

The interesting thing to me is that that 'scumbag' Miller seems to have been more truthful about all this than the right reverend himself. That's high comedy!
