Cats fall from high rises often enough that it has been labeled "high rise syndrome" amazingly, most of them survive! This has actually been studied and its seems sometimes cats falling from higher distance survive better than falling from lower distance. And above a certain number of stories up, it doesn't matter how high they are. They will actually reach maximum velocity at some point and land on their feet.
