Our only fear is that someone will come in and lure him away. We are not delusional like our friends to the north that believe they are one of the premier programs in the country (and their radio announcers were talking about a Cotton Bowl birth after the Arkansas game.....bwaaaaahhhh)..........we get it. It was an awesome week prior to the Bama game knowing that we had a chance to go 8-0.......slight chance, but a chance. I guess you could say it was a "week of learning for me"....I finally understand...the feeling and thoughts I had last week must be what it's like to be a Mississippi fan all year long, the belief that you have a chance and are a premier program / that you can play with the big boys.......when you really aren't / can't.........
So, is this about State or Ole Miss? Let's take a look at the who all MSU has played and beaten to be at 7-1:stitch wrote:that you can play with the big boys.......when you really aren't / can't.........

Tennessee 3-5, never ranked
Middle Tennessee 5-3 (only team played/beaten with a winning record), never ranked

This Texas team that hung 66 on Ole Miss barely squeaked out a 3 pt win above Kansas, not Kansas state, this weekend....Just throwing that out there for you.
i do think one day one of the schools will win a NC. The moon and stars might all come together right. I also agree that the schedule argument is stupid. both schools have week schedules.deltadukman wrote:Oh i know. All this "the team we lost to is better than the team yall lost too" stuff is comical. Im almost sick of football season already. Most people wonty admit it, but our two in state teams will never win a national championship. Schedules are made years in advance but there are cluless people that honestly think Mullen knew he had a decent team this year so he made this schedule. There is cluelessness on both sides of the fence.
