Excellent pre-game and post-game analysis duckter. You nailed both of them.

No sense in going back through this thread and beating wounded puppies.

I was really impressed with Mullins gloves and mini-visor. Nice look.

Not sure an "Analysis" is really required. Quite evident on the stats, talent and coaching differences.

Alabama just scored again.

At the beginning of the season, most State fans thought we would be 5-2 or 6-1 going into the Bama game and then struggle the remainder of the season until we play Mississippi........do the math, that puts us in the 6-6 or 7-5 range for the season.....Mullen is not on the hot seat, he is going to get us to a nice bowl this year, he has our program headed in the right direction and I believe most fans are happy with where we are. Our only fear is that someone will come in and lure him away. We are not delusional like our friends to the north that believe they are one of the premier programs in the country (and their radio announcers were talking about a Cotton Bowl birth after the Arkansas game.....bwaaaaahhhh)..........we get it. It was an awesome week prior to the Bama game knowing that we had a chance to go 8-0.......slight chance, but a chance. I guess you could say it was a "week of learning for me"....I finally understand...the feeling and thoughts I had last week must be what it's like to be a Mississippi fan all year long, the belief that you have a chance and are a premier program / that you can play with the big boys.......when you really aren't / can't.........

So, is this about State or Ole Miss? Let's take a look at the who all MSU has played and beaten to be at 7-1:

Jackson State University 4-4, never ranked
Aurburn 1-7, ranked at time played, no longer ranked
Troy 4-4, never ranked
South Alabama 2-6, never ranked
Kentuck 1-8, never ranked
Tennessee 3-5, never ranked
Middle Tennessee 5-3 (only team played/beaten with a winning record), never ranked
Alabama 8-0, MSU loss, ranked #1 prior to game and #1 after game

So, where are these
big boys
that State has been playing and beating?

Let's now look at who Ole Miss has played:

Central Arkansas 7-2, 5-1, never ranked
UTEP 2-7, 1-4, never ranked
Texas 6-2, 3-2, ranked at time played and currently #23
Tulane 2-6, 2-2, never ranked
Alabama 8-0, ranked #1 at time played and currently ranked #1
Texas A&M 6-2, 3-2, not ranked at the time played, currently ranked #16
Auburn 1-7, 0-6, not ranked
Arkansas 3-5, 2-3, not ranked

So, the Rebels have played three ranked teams and four teams with a winning record. While the Bulldogs have played one ranked team, okay, two if you count Auburn, which I did not for the Rebels, and two teams with a winning record. Yep, dem Bulldawgs have really been hanging in there with the BIG DOGS!

This Texas team that hung 66 on Ole Miss barely squeaked out a 3 pt win above Kansas, not Kansas state, this weekend....Just throwing that out there for you.

That's not what he's saying. He said that neither team can hang with the big boys.

Oh i know. All this "the team we lost to is better than the team yall lost too" stuff is comical. Im almost sick of football season already. Most people wonty admit it, but our two in state teams will never win a national championship. Schedules are made years in advance but there are cluless people that honestly think Mullen knew he had a decent team this year so he made this schedule. There is cluelessness on both sides of the fence.

i do think one day one of the schools will win a NC. The moon and stars might all come together right. I also agree that the schedule argument is stupid. both schools have week schedules.
