I have one and I just had to replace the computer modulator in it. It only has 50 hours on it. Warranty covered it.

I bought mine new in 06' and the only thing I have had to do to it this whole time is change the oil / filter and replace a battery... One tough machine! I absolutely love mine!

Do you guys have them insured? Do you leave they them at camp or take them home everytime?
They're insured and chained to the steel beams in the shop and I still worry if they are going to be there the next morning.

i had 2 at one time. i could always count on one of them to be running while the other one was in the shop. pretty good rotation. they will run about long enough for the techs to get one in the shop, repair and back out. i would normally take one in and pick one up. i am not exageratting. i am serious. although lots of folks who have them love them and have no trouble with em. they are the best riding, biggest, most room, most features and absolute most power but i cant keep one running long enough to own another one. i am on my second rhino and for everything they lack in features, room, power etc they make up for in reliability. call your local atv repair shop and ask them which models come in for the most repairs. i mean an independant shop. take a look at the big red by honda. if i was in the market for a new machine i would look seriously at the honda. has no belt, actually has a transmission. the weak point in all these utvs is the belt.

I believe it is all in how you take care of one. If mine gets muddy at camp, it gets washed. i was told by a guy that owns his own repair shop and he said the best investment you can get is a pressure washer and make sure you keep it clean. The way I see it is since I paid 10k for a Ranger, I am going to make sure I keep it serviced and clean. The thing is not a submarine and wasn't built to be a deep hole mud machine. I haven't had a lick a problems out of the two I have owned. I wouldn't think twice about buying another if needed.

Coming from someone who has worked on many of them, the pressure washer comment couldn't be more true. It's amazing what a good washing off will do towards extending the life of a machine.

The only problem i've ever had to do was chang the belt. I put the new belt on and back to running like new. I do keep my clean and serviced as well though.

I leave mine at the lease but do have it insured. Mine gets well used it's a 2010 model with over 2000 miles. I have 27" tires on it with no lift. Had the same thing on my rhino. Like the ranger better but rhino is more dependable. I have replaced three front axles a belt tire rods and a fuel pump so far.
