So do you just get your dog during hunting season and he keeps him rest of year?

That depend on you and what you want out of your dog. Ronnie is very good as other have said, He had one of ours for a few months and she did great.
He did basics and my husband took it from there.

Lots of good folks already mentioned. Few others not mentioned: Alan Sandifer (copiah Creek) is near Jackson. Blue Ribbon out in Clintion used to have a trainer, not sure if they still do. Chuck McCall, Anthony Nassar and Jay Dufour in different parts of LA. and Charlie Moody in Louisville if you decide to go the field trial route.
