it was pretty tough.....140 yds., tons of goose decoys in the way, and mowed strips like a physco mowed them. And, tony had to run with a 20 mph wind that blew up before the rain. Same blind my chithead went out on.

Two of the toughest land series that I have seen. Big with plenty of challenges. The Southern Flight crew are at Ronnie Harwell's water series today. Kinda tight. If getting through today's water, the next land series they face is, IMHO, the big test of the week.
Craig and Gus ran the cleanest water series that I had even heard of. Front footed every mark in some nasty chit and one whisled the water blind. Excellent job. Mark Atwwater has his camera setup on this water series. In a blind that literally disappears in the natural vegetation. Awesome set up.
Great setups, judged tight for line manners. Very few real complaints. Amite River HRC seems to have done a good job with this Grand.

btw.....cell phone service is extremely bad at the test sites. I'm going to try and get back down tomorrow and update if possible. Looks like many will have to run the 3rd and 4th series in one day on Tues. like we did last fall. I think the tests are much harder than the fall grand. Each marking setup has a big money bird, and each blind is tough, very tough. No gimmies......

For those of you still playing... GOOD JOB AND CONTINUED GOOD LUCK!! For me, it was a really good experience. I can honestly say that I was given a fair test and I learned from it. I almost chickened out, but I'm glad I didn't. Looking forward to the next one! :)
