That's wayyyy too many members for 2000 acres.
This is no longer a vacation, this is a quest, a quest for fun---Chevy Chase.

What history goes with the place? I know I will never be a member but would like to know a little about it since I have heard about it so much.

I think they have 8 or 10 members, the hunting (from what I have been told from those who have hunted it) is unbelievable, as in not if you kill your limit but how fast, most of which is in flooded timber, it is located in Leflore County, it is just northwest of Schlater, it has a lot of history dating back many years, the guys that own it now played football at Ole Miss together and/or went to school together (orthopaedic surgeons, physicians and lawyers from Jackson with one or two not living in Jacktown).

I would assume that memberships do not come available and if they did said membership would never truly be on the open market, it would be offered to another in the group of friends. I would assume a membership would be well north of $500K.

Someone else will have to elaborate on the number of acres they own. I would assume in the 1500 to 2000 acre area, maybe more.
Feel free to fill in the holes or misinformation fellas...
Edit: Per Delta Magazine  Fighting Bayou owns 3000 acres.
