They work until the sun gets up. When it is about 845 or 9 you have to yank them. Yall people yelling jerk string,,,,it doesn't really help when it's still dark! But they are right after 9. Jerk string or malard machine is the way to go.

A long long time ago, pet hens were common practice.Probably still done in very isolated areas, but you didn't here that from me!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

I buy some small boats from Toy's r us or walmart and cut decoy's to fit the boat and drive them all around the place. Seems to work pretty good until I drop the controller in the water or the dang thing will only go into reverse, then I have to turn the decoy around or chunk the boat.

This is true and is also how the ducks in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel got its start. Some duck hunters were staying at the hotel and had many drinks one went out to his vehicle and brought in a mallard hen and let it swim in the lobby fountain and the rest is history.
