What an accomplishment.......Wow!!!....VERY few dogs can be that consistent week in and week out year after year. Truly the kind of dog anyone would be blessed to own even once in their life.
Congratulations,
Bill

dunno if i've ever said this in public, BUT 2 dogs "got me" into this thing of ours -- travis' rowdy and vires' colt.
i bare no truck w/ saying travis' pm's early on were to spring board to my involvement w/ dog training in general either.
travis is (and has been) as loyal to the program as any i've ever seen, and i still await his nomination for president of HRC.........cause, he certainly gets my vote.
i'm proud for ya buddy!!! truly PROUD.

Man that is almost unbelievable, 62 in a row. I don't know that I can take a dump correctly 62 times in a row, much less pass a finished test.
Glad to have seen him young, middle and wiser. Even more proud to call him my Lacey dogs brother.
I am not even mentioning the retierment thing cause as I said in the other thread, I just can't think about it too much. Congrats Travis, still watinin' on yall to show up on the teal hunt.

Thanks ya'll. I couldn't be any prouder of my buddy than I am. I did sit down last night and crunch numbers... 2 for 2 started, 4 for 4 seasoned, 4 for 5 for the hrch, 4 for 4 upland, strings of 14 consective upland passes and 62 consective finished passes, 86 out of 91 finished tests ever, for a lifetime of 106 out of 111 tests. Thats over 95% passing rate for his life. He's still the youngest 500 point male to my knowledge, and Ive been told the longest string of passes for a male, but I havent confirmed that. The last finished test we dropped was before he was 3 years old, and I passed a kidney stone on the line while he was hunting a flyer... I picked him up cause i couldnt see I hurt so freggin bad. hehe. He's sure took me a lot of places and showed me a bunch of great times. My wife has plans to take him to the groom shop and get a real doggie bath, belive that or not! hehe.
Saturday morning's water blind he got tired. I made him stay in the water until I thought it was ok, and then let him beach early. It showed me I was doing the right thing putting him up. couldn't have asked for a better last weekend of tests... I let him munch breastbones, creep, walk loose to the line, all the crap Ive tried to maintain over 8 years, when its your last weekend it dont matter anymore! hehe. He was munching a bird so hard sunday afternoon, I started laughing and told him to eat the mofo! He He killed every mark squalling when he left, lined both land blinds, and 3 whistled the tough sunday under the bridge water blind. When i shot the water marks sunday afternoon, I just sat and watched that go bird fall. Seemed like it was in the air forever. When it hit the water, I just sat there. Thats it man. The last set of marks Im ever gonna shoot for the rowdydogg. I just sat. Maybe2 or 3 seconds. I let it build up. I had to hear it one more time, and I was afraid after running the blind first and 3 other series that weekend it wouldnt be there. I saw a tremble in his jaws... it was there. I hollared 'rowdy' and heard him squawl one last time off the line. The tears I had when he picked up that last waterblind, where replaced by that squawl when he went to get that last go bird. Thats what i wanted to remember, and wanted that crowd to remember. Tired fat short legged dog whose hart quits beating when he gets excited, kills a 95 yard channel blind and comes back squawlling for the marks. travis
