What is the best dove load......

I remember my Dad would lay out about 5 paper plates on the driveway and pour different types of powder on the plates and light them with a match.. Which ever one would ignite the fasted and burn the most hair off his arm before he could snatch is hand back was the one he reloaded with. Then the only chore was shoving the reloaded shell into the chamber and trying not to take your eye off the target while the flame shot out the barrell and nearly blinded you.. Oh the good old days..

Fiochi high velocity #9's. Best dove shell I have ever shot. Been dove hunting all of my life and they are the best.

I load a 11/4 oz #8 that is bad to the bone.

:D go with 7.5 on opening day - after that, when the birds are high and skiddish go with 6 shot.
