Regarding the early, mid, and late systems, do any of you here in Mississippi feel you need anything more than the early gear?

i would atleast get a pullover that may be a little larger so you could layer underneath it but as far as all the big parkas i wouldnt go out and buy it until ur satisfied with other stuff they sell

the wader shirt is awesome. a little goofy looking with the bottom half of the shirt being a different material than the top. but it works.

Just jokin', although I do dislike newbies (Mudsucker). I got the 100 dollar pullover. Fits good under waders, with a fleece shirt on the extra cold mornings I never got cold. I wish I'd have gotten a size bigger so when I did have to layer I had more ease of movement.

good stuff,don't know about where you hunt, but the Mid-season stuff is usually plenty warm on the even the colder gulf coast days. Sister company to McAlister, they make really good gear as well.

I hunt in central mississippi, the fleece pullover was simply not enough some mornings but with a ruff hewn insulated button up shirt I was fine.

I'm thinking about ordering some of the Drake clohing online and I was curious if you felt these coats and pullovers are pretty true to size? I wear XL tops/shirts and I have found some hunting geart to be sized on the large size. I haven't found any locally lately to try on.

I wear an XL in most clothing, but I wear a large in all of Drake's stuff.

IMHO, they tend to run small, especially the jackets.

I think the pullovers and jackets run a little on the large size. I can wear a 2xl Columbia wigeon and a 2xl in a Drake pullover is way too big. All the pullovers, jackets, and shirts from Drake, I order xl. On Drakes website they have a size guide that would help.
