Source? I would think that to be a pretty major event not to be all over the news.
Well the HQ and everything else on the dry side of the levee is flooded. As far as I know the only way for that to flood would be levee breaking or water over the levee.

Just followed up. A friend said a member of his camp spoke with a warden that confirmed it. Supposedly the guy saw a pic of the break and it’s as wide as a two lane highway. I can’t confirm for sure though.

Well talked to another friend with a camp over there and one of their members went in with a boat. He did not see a break in the levee but there was a spot with lots of water coming over the top.

Isn’t that levee just some old private levee?

I don’t know. I assumed it was part of the backwater levee system.

I haven't seen any reports of a backwater levee break. If I see one I will let yall know.

The levee at Mahannah was built by Anderson-Tully years ago and was just an internal levee on that property. The backwater started overtopping it a week or so ago, and it breached on Saturday. The only effect that it will have is that Mahannah is now flooded all the way to the front gate. The levee was keeping water out of the office/shop compound area, but that is all flooded now.

Do yall remember how in 2011 it was a virtual drought in the interior delta. Seemed like it didn't rain the whole time the river was up.

We have less than an 1 inch of rain in lower delta for 38 days in 2011 during the flood.
