That was in response to the fact he picks Ole Miss to lose in a rout EVERY game in comments on, and he won't comment otherwise....not whether I agreed on this case. AND we were both wrong...stang67 wrote:So.... A rout?camlock wrote:I think Bama wins this game by 13+ and I'm not sure it's really in question beyond 3rd quarter...
So, 24-3 was technically a rout...so Ole Miss was in a rout until they "gifted Bama" with conservative play calls a terrible punt, a personal foul and a kickoff out of bounds to give Bama the ball on the 50, then Bama in a rout until they "gifted Ole Miss" the end....then it ended in a 5 point loss, which would've been mitigated to a tie ball game on a official replay of TD that was likely a TD but inconclusive or not indisputable....so it ended 5 1/2 under the line and WAY OVER the total O/U....so, in the end, it really a rout at all for either team, by definition and you are wrong.Greenhead22 wrote:It was a rout til Bama gifted them the points at the end.
Potential TD would have only made a 4 point difference not 5. Also Ole Miss scored a TD that should have been called back(hurts fumble). Also a big difference in Bama giving up lead was lots of third stringers in hopefully Saban learned his lesson on that one. What we learned in this game is Bama overall has much better talent but Ole Miss has a much better QB and as great a job as Kiffin has done sometimes he makes a bone head decision to get away from what is working. Why he went away from the run game I will never understand. Harris was doing very well against the rebel defense.camlock wrote:So, 24-3 was technically a rout...so Ole Miss was in a rout until they "gifted Bama" with conservative play calls a terrible punt, a personal foul and a kickoff out of bounds to give Bama the ball on the 50, then Bama in a rout until they "gifted Ole Miss" the end....then it ended in a 5 point loss, which would've been mitigated to a tie ball game on a official replay of TD that was likely a TD but inconclusive or not indisputable....so it ended 5 1/2 under the line and WAY OVER the total O/U....so, in the end, it really a rout at all for either team, by definition and you are wrong.Greenhead22 wrote:It was a rout til Bama gifted them the points at the end.
Whatever...you can't have it both ways, nothing Ole Miss got was GIVEN to them, neither was Bama...that is the weakest BS crap I hear from Bama and LSU fans year after year after year...the 5 points was a product of going for 2 b/c of not getting (or as you see it, being given) a TD earlier on a replay at the goaline...so kick the extra point and it's a 4 point game, that was purpose of that comment...game was decided on a couple swing plays and momentum swung all game...both are very good teams, both should've played better at times and both showed they can beat the other at times...it's not a missed block in the back that GIVES somebody points or a instant replay review that takes them away....swing plays go both ways and in this case Bama made the plays....spade is a spade...it's always about officiating and/or coaching when Bama doesn't dominate a ballgamemshunter77 wrote:Potential TD would have only made a 4 point difference not 5.
