Re: UTV Insurance?
Do not insure utvs, atvs or boats through homeowners insurance or riders to homeowners. A claim could make your homeowners insurance increase to be cost prohibitive or even result in a cancellation. Always use a separate policy.

Also, unless used to service and maintain the adjacent property, a 4 wheeler is not covered under your homeowners. This is one of the most common miscoceptions in insurance I run across. A subdivison lot doesnt qualify. Sure someone may have this work sometimes, Ive had it work before, but if at camp or on a trailer, or whatever, its a hard sale to get it covered.
I second not having it attached to your homeowners as well. Insurance companies weigh heavily on the ratings at renewal.

I farm, so I got all kinda excuses for using my utv on the farm....and, I followed the advice of my ins. agent....so, I'll just go by his office, and slap him up-side his haid, if an adjuster gives me any grief.dukluk wrote:Got my 2013 Polaris Crew added on to home owner policy....I just had to list it separately....$234.00 annually.
