Forget the quibbling back and forth and enjoy your moment in the sun Rebs. You have a team with some swag right now and that is what matters most when you are playing in mid-June. It has been 42 years. Do not compare the programs, there is none. You are going to the weakest CWS there has ever been....ever. Two national seeds made it to Omaha. Keep swinging the bat and keep that bullpen as fresh as possible. You have a chance now. Bianco will be your coach for the next 15 years. You may not ever make it back. Make this one count.
that has to be the most back handed butt hurt post I've read in years...gonna be a long summer huh?

Sorry but I don't get the above statement. The weakest cws ever because only 2 national seeds are in it? Last I checked those national seeds got put out by a team who at least for one game in a regional or for 2 games in a super regional were better than the national seed. The teams that played their way through in the format given to them by the NCAA have earned the right to be in omaha and be called the best teams in the nation right now. Something makes me think that if state made it this year instead of OM it wouldn't be called the weakest cws ever. I saw a tweet last night not 5 minutes after the game making fun of ole miss for finally making it to omaha, not telling them good job for finally making it yada yada yada but pissing in our Cheerios to make himself feel better. Does it make it the weakest NCAA championship ever for the team that wins this year?

The post above was a sarcastic reply to Po Monk's talented ways of putting the lawyer spin on things. Y'all guys are WAY too sensitive. Enjoy this special time. I am happy for the longtime Rebel baseball followers who have certainly craved to see Omaha for so long. This is a really good Rebel team and they are 1 of the last 8 left so you should be excited. Your coach got over the hump that Rebel nation has asked for so now the talk of removing him is gone. I thought MSU played in a weak CWS last year. Had they won the NC it would have been fantastic....weaker field or not. I certainly think the SEC is down some this season. Fact that this CWS is without some of the higher ranked traditional type teams is a plus for UM....not a negative. It is your shot. Go make the most of it. I think you face the toughest team out there in the first game. You win that one and the ball just keeps rolling.

Congrats to the Black Bears (ok Rebels). Anyone who follows college baseball should not miss the CWS. Went last year and back 2007 (last year at Rosenblatt) and I promise you'll have a blast. At this level anyone can win it and yall are playing some good ball right now. Go bring it back home. That was hard to say from a Dawg.

I hate the Rebels more then most folks I know and will probably get kicked out of my family for what I'm about to say...

Glad yall made it...

Esp Bianco, he been flirting with it too long to not get a lil piece

What I am not feeling good about is the fact yall have a very very good club and got a damn good chance to win the whole thing

Just a FYI, last year CWS was at Rosenblatt was 2010, not 07. South Carolina beat UCLA and the atmosphere at Rosenblatt for the last Series was unbelievable.
