With all the publicity the media has given this I can't help but think rival gangs in Jackson will now be walking around with the Tec 9 and so forth slug over their shoulder. I'm not naïve enough to think they don't have them on them now but it will become sort of a gang sign power thing like wearing a hat a certain way or clothes a certain way. It' a way for a "cript" to say to a "blood", "hey, mines bigger than yours."
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin.

Those who can do. Those who can't get on MSDUCKS and try to convince everyone they can.

I've seen "no guns allowed" signs in three local stores this week.

Really? Give. Me. A. Break. That's absurdity.

Why does the U.S. not get rid of its nuclear arsenal? Because our enemies have nukes. What's the best deterrent to a well equipped enemy? Being able to kick his a ss with bigger and better weapons. Whether that be a nuke, a bullet or better martial arts training than your foe, it's all the same: if Tyrone wants to carry and is perfectly legal to do so then it's his damned RIGHT to do so. I just need to make sure I got a sword just as sharp. I ain't giving up my life for a little temporary comfort knowing that someone else canNOT defend theirs (assuming said person follows the law).

What's sad is that, say in Starkville, if a business owner wants to put up a sign that says "smoking allowed"- said owner would be ticketed and fined. And a lot of folks would cheer. Like some justice to society was done. Because we allowed him to NOT excercise his right of liberty and the pursuit of happiness, we have somehow done a good deed. If I were the shop owner and I wanted to run my business in whatever context I felt was an exemplification of liberty and happiness and you wanted to take that away, then I'd say, " Take your damn business elsewhere- because my business is none of your business."

And... well, if life and God-given rights were a business, then I'd say my business is none of anyone's business. You go die your own helpless death- at least you were comforted for a little while.

Highfalutin, narcissistic judges and politicians- who could die today and 99.999% of humanity would acknowledge said death with a fart from greasy Chinese at lunch- do not bring my comfort.

As R.L. once said, " I don't dial 911, I dial 357."

Screw a judge who will do something to protect me and mine only AFTER I've been murdered. A Smith and Wesson is what tucks me in at night, safe and sound- sound of both mind and body.
