As much as I hate to say it, I wouldn't mind seeing Ole Miss pulling this one out. Not too sure I want them having to win the Egg Bowl to get into the postseason. Then again, it would just make it sweeter to keep em out. Carry on...

Very rarely do I pull for the Rebels but I hope they can keep it up and pull this one out.

So they suck this week but were probably at least a decent team last week huh. Or was it possibly the sec screwed y'all and gave state the night game.
Ole Miss had multiple screw ups to lose the game. Besides the three turnovers inside our own thirty the special teams breakdowns were huge in the defeat
I know I know the sarcasm button

Good game Rebels...you should have won that one.
Two observations:
(1) Nkimdeche is a dirty player that I bet is suspended for the Egg Bowl by the SEC...two very intentionally shots to Mett's head were dirty and uncalled for...
(2) I think you will be the brakes of off State next week.

Dirty? Uncalled for?... What about the 2 times elston was leveled way late with no flag? And the freaking O-lineman shoving 150lb Charles Sawyer out of back of endzone?.... I'd say #4 was just returning the favor!

I didn't see anything dirty that Nkemdichie did to warrant a suspension period. I know I may be biased but why even throw a flag in that situation much less a suspension

He lead with his head right into Mettenberger's chin...it was flagrant and cheap.

I think it is because they have a ton more wins than losses. Don't know about you but 10 ugly wins is better than 8... no matter if they were ugly or not.

I will look for it on the net to see it again. Like I said I'm biased. Still the refs should've held that flag

The Rebs brought the wood on defense. Nkemdiche is a football player who plays old school football. He is not a dirty player. He just knocks the ever loving snot out of opposing players. He is undersized and plays with geat passion and heart.
The talent disparity between LSU, with it's annual top 5 rated recruiting classes, and a battered and short handed Ole Miss D , makes emotional comments about "dirty play" even more absurd and laughable. Nkemdiche is about 5 ft 8. Mettenberger is about 6 ft 6 and outweighs Nkemdiche by at least 25 lbs. The top of Nkemdiche's head is about the same height as Mettenberger's chin. It wasn't intentional. Nkemdiche even backed off from following through with the hit, trying to stop. Schit happens. It's football. Not golf or tennis.
If Nkemdiche deserves to be suspended ( which would be complete BS), then the LSU defender who made the helmet to helmet hit on Wallace should be suspended as well. Rebel fans aren't whining about that hit, or the facemask takedown of Wallace, or the numerous other illegal hits by LSU players during the game. Besides, Slive is now out of the suspension business. The Bama player's wrestling body slam set the new standard --- if it ain't worse than that, then no suspension.
Just as I predicted, this game was close and went down to the wire. I thought it was a great game. Both teams fought hard. LSU just has more talent right now. But Freeze is getting the most out of his limited talent. Can't wait to watch this Rebel team in the coming years.
Hard hitting, slobber knocking defense is back at Ole Miss. I love it.

Nkemdichie actually was quoted after game that he was shocked about the call because with their size difference he would have to jump to get helmet to helmet

Rebaholic, you are one grumpy basterd. You need to come by the game house on Saturday and drink a few beers. It's on Old Taylor and I'll be grilling a beef loin. I'm not going to the game, have to babysit....

Not really just being a smartass on the net nothing big. I will say I was extremely grumpy after the punt return and then that personal foul just got me
O well it's Ole Miss football I'm used to it

Great college football game. The team with most depth won with physical play late, and the fact a team with talent disparity Ole Miss had couldn't afford the mistakes they made...pretty simple formula I thought. Also, far as flags or lack of them...both teams got their share and lack of their share. Don't think either team should gripe. I thought LSU got away with pass interference some and an illegal block of punt return TD ( LSU radio post game said same) but in both cases, Ole Miss did their part to get beat just as much as the penalties, meaning it wasn't like OM played those plays perfectly and the missed call turned the tables.
