Re: Don't Stop Believing
Two things.
1. Mississippi State is not and has not been a strong football team. There is some talent there, top ten team? Absolutely not.
2. Whoever is in charge of our marketing department needs to kill this twitter crap, and all these homo one liners. Sounds like we are trying to cure some incurable disease.
3. Alabama is incredible. That was men playing with boys last night, and I saw it coming.

1. State was out-manned, out coached and out-played. They was really a sad effort.
2. That being said, if Bama has it dialed in like last night, there may only be one or two teams in the national that can even play within 3 TDs of them (Oregon and maybe Notre Dame).
From a personal interest perspective, I sure hope Bama shot their wad yesterday and come out flat this weekend at LSU. I doubt it happens, but I can wish.
Early prediction...Bama 28-0 over LSU this weekend in Death Valley. Don't think LSU will be able to score.

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Shoot...I thought were gonna discuss Journey. Something positive for a change.
Anyway I saw last night coming. Best case scenario in my mind was a competitive game that was "close" and by close I mean it looked like we played a good game. What happened was a string of setbacks for a variety of reasons in which any one of them could have sunk us against a team of Bama's caliber especially since they had been called out all week. And then all the classless yahoos felt required offer their opinions which as usual is the typical mindless babble that characterizes a majority of their thought processes. Going forward I hope the Dawgs reevaluate their expectations and play solid football without getting caught up in the hype and rankings that I feel have gone to their heads in the past. Still a solid team with good opportunities.

Re: Don't Stop Believing
I have to say I disagreed with you before the season when you said this could be the best Bama team yet. At this point I think you are spot on and when they show up ready to play they will beat anyone. Also I did not think LSU would struggle this much offensively. Is Mettenberger a bust or is it coaching. I have to think it is coaching. I don't think they are devoloping offensive talent down on the bayou. Ruben Randle never quite lived up to his billing(still a good player) and Russell Shepard just pretty much disappeared after his fray an year. Those guys should have been game changers. The other thing I have noticed is for the past several years LSU starts the year out with several very talented upper classman RBs then halfway through the season a true freshman comes in and tears it up and is going to be the next big thing. Then two years later that guy is passed up by another true freshman. That right there makes me think they are not developing players on that side of the ball.Deltamud77 wrote:1. Re: Don't Stop Believing
I wasn't able to watch the entire game which was probably a good thing. I'm talking about all of the errors State made. Some forced some unforced. I knew we could not afford to give ground to Bama. I never anticipated a win, but I was hoping for a more competitive team to show up for State. It was like we were walkin around with a loaded gun shooting ourselves in the foot. In saying that I am in no way saying that we gave the game to Bama. The media and fans hyped it up as much as possible which I can agree and disagree with. I expected Bama to do exactly what they did. Come out and play quality football like they do and i would expect nothing less. The yahoos are all of the ole miss fans i know that spent the better part of the entire day posting, calling, and texting me trashing State. I understand the whole rivalry deal and have never bought into it. Anyone willing to speak on civil terms is fine with me, but the ole miss fans I know and the ones most of my friends know are just a waste of time. Great people in most cases, just crazy when it comes to the state/ole miss topic. Not whining or feeling sorry for State I think they earned the outcome of last night. I hope they use what happened as a learning experience. Time will tell.webbmaster wrote:What are you talking about here? And who are you talking about? Not all Ole Miss fans are idiots. Do we have our share. YES. Do y'all have some idiots YES. Has Ole Miss been down the last two years YES. This was the first time some could run their mouth and they did. O well it's part of the rivalry. I will say this I have heard enough crap the past two years I could puke. Just had to sit there and grin and "BEAR" it.

I'm just glad it's over with. Well, until November, then the bama bitches come back to rape us again...of a decent hunt.

I understand that they just want to talk, but that logic does not float. Bama beat Arkansas by about 52 points. Ole Miss beat Arkansas by 3 points. Did Bama beat Ole Miss by 49 points?davidees wrote:No, Mississippi won the moral victory national championship yesterday with the whole "Bama beat y'all worse than us" thing. I'm afraid to even look at the boxscore. I'm sure we even got shutout in the moral victory column.
Hope they shake this one pretty quick. They've got an offensive fireball coming to town next week.
8-1 I believe!!!!!
