Cut holes in bottom of pockets or cut them out all together so water drains well. They will last several seasons. Or, I like the Mack's all season and the Cabelas Warrior II for toughness and comfort.
Now that is some ingenuity right there.

To prolong the life - always store waders inside when not in use. Also spray exterior of boots with Armor-All in the offseason to eliminate dry-rot potential on the rubber. Am going on my 4th year with my Cabela's Warrior II Breathables and love 'em - mine have the 1000 gram boots but it now appears only available with 600 gram boots.

The great thing about Cabela's is all their boots come with a lifetime warranty. Yes, waders fall into the boot category. Doesn't cover holes in wader, but if you end up on the sharp end of a buck brush stob or a beaver sharpened stick the boot warranty will cover a hole in the boot. Or at least it has mine in the past. Two pair of the warrior in last 8 years.

Next pair I get will be some $140 breathable from BPS. Bonedry I believe. They have a really wide crotch seam. Not one line of narrow stitching. Also going to try some flex-seal on older waders with crotch leaks.

I was honestly debating on trying this in another pair of mine. Wonder if it will work

I just wish there was a company that made a style of waders that a lower leg amputee could wear. The non articulating ankle of a prosthesis makes it very difficult. Has to be a small market for amputees like myself. My favorite way to hunt is in waders by a tree, can't do it anymore. Other means of hunting in flooded timber had to evolve. I still wish I could put some waders on and hunt like I was taught. Maybe one day!!!
