This flat footed delta dweller finally went to fish for specks in August. Those are the finest fish I have ever put in my mouth. Reds are good too, but i will throw out crappie to make room for specks. There ain;t no way they can be better any other way than fried!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jealous of you coastal people :oops:

Just to update, I did fry them as I would catfish and they are some fine eating. As for as catching them, they don't fight nowhere near like a Red. I now know why people out here truly love to catch Red's.

Roach I figured you knew I was gone!! I have been in Texas now for 2 1/2 years and have lived in San Antonio, Cibolo, Houston, and now in the just outside of Houston in Crosby.
