I'm recommending trifexis to most of my clients. It cover fleas, heartworms and most internal parasites. Also, since its a pill there's no chance of not getting it all the way to the skin or having the dog rub it all over the couch, etc. Yes, it is expensive, but not really any more expensive than buying heartgaurd, etc. and flea preventative.

Advantage multi is also a great product but I just personally like giving a pill over spot on treatments.

I had a 30 minute conversation with my vet and they were pushing the Trefexis as well. You still have to buy a tick preventative as well. Which with most preventatives is flea and tick. So now you have double up on flea and the extra money spent on Trefexis with the comfortis is wasted because you have to buy a flea and tick preventative anyway...at least that is my thinking anyway.
