If you go watch the Mississippi high school state tournament then you will get your answer. Gonna have to go to states like Illinois, Indiana and Iowa to find those types of players. Very few, if any, want to move to Mississippi to play basketball.

This just in: Ole Miss basketball program commits major rules violation in signing a caucasian basketball player to a scholarship during the sping signing period:

South Plains (Texas) College shooting guard Marshall Henderson just recently signed with Ole Miss during the spring signing period. Henderson, who scored 32 points in leading South Plains to an NJCAA national title and an undefeated, 36-0 season, was named the national JUCO Player of the Year. He made 5 of 12 3-pointers in the title game win and 13 of 13 free throws.

Henderson -- formerly of Utah -- averaged nearly 20 points per game on the year, shooting 43 percent from 3. He shot at a near 90-percent clip from the free throw line.

“Just excited to go to Ole Miss,” Henderson said.

So, there you have it. Ole Miss has its first white scholarship basketball player in quite a while (the part about he was from Utah should have been a dead giveaway) --- I think AK inherited Todd Abernathy when he took over from Rod Barnes (I had forgotten about him) ---- and Abernathy was probably the first since K. Carter and M. White.

I am now left to wonder what sanctions will be imposed for our "hyenas" crime. Stay tuned.
