the board in my pic is a native watercraft versa board. Its the angler model with the rod holders. it is more like a stand up kayak than a stand up surfboard. Its roto molded. Benefits are its super tough, but a lot heavier than a SUP. Academy is carrying a roto molded SUP by some maker I've never heard of for around $400. I don't see how you could go wrong with that if you wanted to get into it. Buy a nice paddle, it makes a huge difference when you are paddling for any stretch of time.

That is a steal !!! Yea, I bought a carbon fiber paddle about one year after getting mine. I don't paddle as much as I would like. Heck to transport 7 hrs back and forth and don't want to buy 2 but I might buy another for 400 to leave here in MS.

Saw these BOTE stand ups in the latest issue of coasta angler, look really nice but man they are proud of them. 1700 bucks for a stand up board is a little steep. Still I like the way they attach the Yeti and rod holder pole to them.
