Re: I Know your a Topwater if?????????
you might be a topwater if you play your duck call like a classic rock song or try to recreate the sound of your alarm clock WHILE ON THE HUNT!
i have a "batty" friend with an uncontrolled sense of humor who will sit there and make $#!+ up on his duckcall... in fact he would hardly shoot at all when ducks did come in... he was just there to get away from his wild kids.

I have wondered this as well. I certainly need a name. I don't think nanny whacker would work because as soon as you bring a "topwater deer hunter" out to help shoot doe, that moron will shoot a button buck. If not a button buck, they will shoot a 65lb doe and say, "well, at least it isn't a button buck"

There will be a day....

If you claim to be a duck guide and spend more time on here "calling out" your unexperienced clientel rather than showing them the ways to do it right....just sayin

Re: I Know your a Topwater if?????????
It has nothing to do with my clientel, but I do have a lot of topwaters from out of state that duck hunt once a year with me. I do probably see more topwaters a year than your usual hunter. The reason this was all started was from some old photos I saw a couple of months ago of my dad and grandfather using none of the methods of today to kill way more ducks.
