Elston dirty play?
So have any of watched the play where Elston twist the leg of UGA WR Brown. Brown tore his ACL on the play and it looks like Elston intentionally was twisting his leg trying to hurt him. Thoughts?
Re: Elston dirty play?
Camera angle leaves a little room to claim they were tangled up, but how tangled can one arm and one leg get? I didn't agree with the suspension for the UTEP hit, but this stuff will keep him on the SEC's radar.

I personally don't think that is what caused the injury by any means. If you watch you see a LOT of leg tackles when the defender pops up they are holding legs an awful lot. It just so happens that the receiver happened to get hurt.

Judge for yourself play starts at the 1:33:20 mark.

Do I think that there was a little extra pull/twist on his leg at the end of the play, yes, enough to tear an ACL don't know. Intentionally trying to hurt Brown I don't think so.

Re: Elston dirty play?
Trae brings the wood. He locked up on the tackle and his momentum carried him forward. He hung on and simply got tangled up with the UGA receiver's leg. That's it. It's football.
Besides, the SEC ruling on the Tide defender has set the new standard. If its not worse than that tackle, then no suspension. Trae didn't lift the guy in the air and slam him on his head. No penalty called by officials. So, why are we even discussing this?

Because it is a sports forum and this was a play in a sporting event. To me it look like he was definetly twisting his leg. Look like a UFC move to me.
