Honey Badger back in LSU classroom
Looks like rehab is over and Mathieu is back on Lsu's campus. Les Miles said he is unaware of any rule that will prevent TM7 from rejoining the team for the 2013 season. Looks like this year won't count against his eligibility since he is not part of any team, so he will have 2 years left to play if he does rejoin next season.

I don't know what part of "permanently ineligible" does that goofball not understand about the university policy. Plus why would you want someone on your team that's failed 3 tests in a year's time?

Just when you thought we were done with Honey Badger threads...
Let us know what classes he is taking and his favorite place on campus to take a dump.

You really think he is permanently ineligible? The only way he doesn't play football at LSU next season is if A) he gets in more trouble B) he goes to NFLGreenhead22 wrote:I don't know what part of "permanently ineligible" does that goofball not understand about the university policy. the 4th string linebacker that was fighting with Jordan Jefferson...where'd he go? He wasn't even convicted, but hands washed clean of him, into an oblivion swiftly and quietly...he wasn't needed. Jefferson...Mathieu....different standard...come on you know all this, it's business of college football....
Re: Honey Badger back in LSU classroom
dollar to donuts he's been told to come back, keep nose clean and he can return...otherwise he'd be knocking snot in FCS and drafted in spring...this $#!+ ain't that hard to figure out...

Re: Honey Badger back in LSU classroom
since he's not a player anymore, can a booster be footing his bills and providing other perks without running afoul of the ncaa rules?
Re: Honey Badger back in LSU classroom
I don't see why not. If he is not playing, nor going to play then he wouldn't be covered under the NCAA. If he were to come back next year then I doubt it.gps4 wrote:since he's not a player anymore, can a booster be footing his bills and providing other perks without running afoul of the ncaa rules?

I don't know what the big deal is if he comes back next year (which he won't). He has served a year suspension. That is a pretty big penalty.
One of two scenarios will take place though: (a) He will get in trouble again - his attitude and friends will likely lead to this happening; or (b) he goes to class, keeps his noise clean and tests the draft waters in January...if he is projected to go in round 4 or higher, he goes pro, if not, he returns for one more year.
I doubt very seriously that he ever ends playing in the LSU uniform again.

with the exception of he ends up in the news or the draft I'll bet you whatever you want he plays at LSU next year...Deltamud77 wrote:

I am not saying this as an LSU fan but as a somewhat decent human being. The kid can not get an education because he smoked some dope? If that is the case, more than half this board with degrees better turn their's in!

Where has anyone said he can't get an education? You are the one smoking dope.
Re: Honey Badger back in LSU classroom
Yeah, I'm not saying he can't get an education...I'm just calling a spade a spade...he screwed it up, but he's too good to let go...they've found a loophole and he's in school to play at LSU and for image purposes...mudsucker wrote:I am not saying this as an LSU fan but as a somewhat decent human being. Re: Honey Badger back in LSU classroom
I think he'll be back. No other reason to enroll if he's not. I doubt this guy is seriously working on his MBA in order to properly manage his money when he plays in the NFL. If he wasn't planning on playing for LSU he would have signed with an agent and worked out until the combine in February or just played for a smaller school.
Also think he did more than smoked dope - I've never heard of going to rehab for weed but who knows.
If he truly got hooked on drugs while at LSU you would think his parents would want him as far away from Baton Rouge as possible - new friends, new life, etc. Maybe Les is keeping him on lockdown for a year.

Last time I checked, rehab was a minimum 30 days. He spent like two weeks. A lot of good that did him.
