Prison on Lockdown after Uprising

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- At least 28 inmates from Colorado were involved in an uprising at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility Wednesday night.

This comes a day after a similar riot at a private prison run by the same company near Olney Springs, Colorado.

There were no injuries in the Mississippi prison riot.

Officials say guards had everything under control within an hour. The facility is run by Nashville-based Corrections Corporations of America, the nation's largest private prison operator.

The Crowley County Correctional Facility in Colorado is also run by CCA. Inmates rioted and set fires at that prison Tuesday, destroying one living unit and extensively damaging four others.

Last month, CCA signed a contract with Colorado to house 128 maximum security inmates at the Tallahatchie County prison in Tutwiler. At least 35 inmates from Colorado are at the facility.

Inmates set ablaze mattresses and their clothing during the riot at the Tutwiler facility.

Louise Chickering, a vice president of CCA, says the prisoners decided to become unruly during a recreation break about 6:20 Wednesday night.

that article isn't exactly right. the prison is near ordway colorado, not olney springs. And there were over 300 prisoners displaced and 13 injured, one severely. That is the info on the CO prison riot.

My suggestion is to leave them without the clothes and mattresses they burned. But no. They will probably give them new everything and not teach them a durn thing. I'm still in favor of the chain gang. Work the booty off during the day, then you won't have any problems at night.
If the birds are flying great, but if not, enjoy the time; at least you're not at work.

if they made it to yo house wingman they would be ready to surrender from those Quitman Co elements. Snakes skeeters just two that come to mind wild dogs NATIVES and many more wild things in the walnut area.

I agree with RebelYelp - Maybe they just want to be crammed up tighter so those HOMO's can get at some fresh meat.
