Good Hunting Coat?
Name some brands please..not looking for anything crazy expensive or the IT gear to have...just good, functional, and durable. Would also like one that is waterproof

I'm trying to get to Cabela's to hopefully try on one of these. I like the prices I'm seeing online, but not fond of buying clothing without trying it on first.
Do they have windproof stuff?

Lightweight Herters waterproof shell $35. Dress-up or down underneath depending on temps.
Son, be sure to check the oil. The gas will take care of itself. George Carter - Circa 1965

Re: Good Hunting Coat?
I just bought the Drake quarter zip wader jacket and love it! They're about 75 without the hood and 100 with the removable hood.
Re: Good Hunting Coat?
Anything wax cotton or oil cloth, you can always fix it and it will not leak or let wind in

Mine's windproof and waterproof, I mean straight up, no BS waterproof. If its real windy I may feel it a little around my neck, but thats it. Even on sho nuff cold mornings I wear a long john shirt and a tee shirt under it and stay warm.

Mine's plenty long enough, but it is about a size too big, which I prefer.
