Hunting presure at Lakeview?

Postby ducks&bucks » Thu Dec 11, 2003 10:13 am

First, let me say that I'm not asking if there are any birds. A fellow has asked me to go with him to Lakeview(so there will be a boat there regardless of me). I'm just curious as to how crouded it is?

Thanks

I have never hunted there, but I am sure that any place that has any birds and is easily accessible will be crowded. Good luck. Be careful where you hunt, as part of the lake is in MS and part in TN. I have a game warden buddy from TN that has mentioned a fued between the wardens of the two states as of recently. I did not look at your location before I replied but I would have a MS license if I planned on hunting anywhere on the lake as the ramp is in MS. Might not mean much but watch out.

Pretty crowded don't worry about going eailer cause they will come in setup on top of you at daylight and I would suggest haveing both a TN and MS licsenes cause that whole lake aint' in MS and it ain't reciprocal betwween the two. If you run into the TN boys prepare to be treated like a convict. There bout GUNG HO as they get.

There always seems to be more people out there fishing than hunting. I don't know how well the hunting is, but if I were you, I'd take a crappie pole and some minnows along also. Go to the river runout and fish the brush on the edges about 2ft deep. I've worn out some crappie around this time of year there.

it can be a difficult place to hunt, especially if the water is low
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.
