What part of GA you from? If your talking about the 5A state Champs then I played for Coach Flowe when he was at Stn. Mtn. Did you play at Parkview? or somewhere close by? I thought David Green played at South Gwinnett? Let me know. I love MS but GA got some good HS football. baldduck

Baldduck, I'm from Gwinnett County. I started teaching and coaching in Dekalb at Druid Hills, Shamrock, and Lithonia, though...used to whup up on them Pirates all the time..not really! Actually, I was there in the late 70's-91. Then, I was an asst. principal at Parkview for several years, knew Chuck Mize and Cecil really well. Now I'm principal at South Gwinnett. I live in the Parkview area and my children go there. My home is Yazoo City, MS though, and I'll always be a Mississippian, no matter where I have to work! By the way, South Gwinnett sent the Cocks a player, too...Ted Crawford. He's another great kid, and fast, too.

Crow, I played at Stn. Mtn for both Coach Mize and Coach Flowe. My senior year we went 9-1 and had to forfeit a few games due to a freshman not being eligible. So we didn't get to go to the playoffs. Anyway terrible what happend to Coach Mize. If I remeber correclty it was the 2nd or 3rd year after I graduated from Stn. Mtn. A bunch of us went to the funeral. But I was at the game when Coach Flowe beat SW in the championship game at Parkview. It was the last year I live in GA. Do you know any of the Cavender's. One of my best friends sister married David and eventhough he went to StnMtn his younger brother went to Parkview. I get a big smile on my face when I see a Dekalb or Gwinnett County boy play on the the television. Watch out for David Willingham at StnMtn he's going to be playing on Saturdays someday. Did you know Coach Parker? Great guy. I will tell you one thing Coach Flowe was a big influence on me. He helped me grow up and taught me alot about being a man and pushing myself as far as I could go. Well I did almost all of my growing up in GA but I now consider MS my home. People don't realize how could they got it till they go somewhere else. baldduck

Crow, While at Lithonia did you coach with Bill Hamilton? I got to coach his son(Lamar) and coach under him while coaching at Spayberry. I wasn't a teacher but a coach for the North Geogia Football League. That have it over in Cobb and N.Fulton County. 6-8th grade, no pound limits and you are under the school as far as schemes and team names. But for liability purposes they could not really do anything other than watch the games and coach the coaches. baldduck
