Baiting Definition
Does anyone have a link to the specific laws that outline deer baiting? I know the obvious stuff, but would like to see in writing the specifics on what baiting is. What are all forms of bait?
Thanks
Thanks
If I am not mistaken the only legal bait is Liquid scent and the Trophy Rock...

shouldnt you be sighting in your bow rather than worrying about baiting???
j/k. in my experience, if you have to ask the question "is this baiting?" you better off not doing it.

Point taken!
But the pamphlet and the website leave a lot up for interpretation, in my opinion. I grew up hunting in La and Tx(baiting is legal), so I just want to make sure I know all the "gray areas."
In my opinion the state does a poor job of getting all of the info out.
C winkler states he believes trophy rock is legal. I assume that is a name brand mineral lick. Why would one brand be legal and others not? I just want to know where to go to read all the ends and outs.

I have a 16 page report from the chief state warden regarding baiting that I could send you. I havent read it, but it might help. PM me your email address and I will send it to you.

My understanding is that Trophy Rock is a naturally occuring substance and is considered legal. The only problem is it is naturally occuring in Utah or some other western state. I am still not sure I would use it, could be one of those that is left up to the interpretation of the GW.

LawDawg, I believe that 16-page report is from Michigan.
I'll have to tell that to a few members of the camp I am in
