Yet another reason to start shootin' my deer rifle a little more! Seems like that article may have somewhat of a hidden political agenda, but scary none the less!

Thanks laduck for that article... Frightening to say the least..

We as hunters need to be more vigilant about staying in touch with our Senators and Congressmen concerning issues like this.. There's a lot us out there, and I know we can be loud when we choose to be.. Make your voices heard.. Also, we need to encourage the big companies we buy our supplies from to get involved in these issues..

Even more reason to get on board with Delta Waterfowl and its programs to work with the landowners on the prairie to protect these potholes that are so crucial to duck production ---ie" Adopt -a-Pothole" program.

Also a wonderful example of why farm subsidies SHOULD have conservation requirements . If the landowners could be trusted (as many on this board have opined) not to destroy the wetlands we currently have, we would not have to worry about the problems addressed in this rather alarming article.
