Arkansas Traditions?

Who is Arkansas' big rivalry game with? Besides calling the pigs, what traditions are there to be talked about? Iron Bowl, Egg Bowl, World's Largest Cocktail Party, TN vs FL, AU vs GA, AL vs TN, all great rivals. To whom is Arkansas a rival with?

I'd says LSU.

AR always plays LSU the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I think it is Texas, a rivalry that goes back to their old South West conference. Not sure if it still is since they don't play each other every year.

Arkansas hates TExas, the make Bammer damn right cordial. Read up on 1969 "Game of the Century to understand. Look I know that Ole Miss and Mississippi St. means something to Sippians, but raly if ever does it matter in the grand scheme of things, Ark and Texass did. and it looks like it will again in o8 and 09 when the two paly again and if evr we meet them in the BCS you'll get it. Quite frankly, even as we have sucked it up we somewhat own their ass in recent history IT in the works to make it a permanent non conference series but I'm not hoding my breathe and its not because of Ark.

It seems like the logical choice if one was to ever have a conference rivaly its LSU, CBS is pushing for it. It has to mean something a few years in a roll to gain momentum. This year its means some but its going to take a few SEC WEst titles on the line in a Row to do that. That and it being played in Little Rock every other year makes it a tough ticket. I bet a bowl game, i can't remeber which. I had Arkansas plus 4 1/2 over NC. Arkansas was up by 5 with time running out. Wouldn't you know that the quarterback dropped back with time ticking off and took an intentional safety. Tore my booty up. Never liked Arkansas since.

For Arkie fans it is probably LSU you know the battle of the boot. For LSU fans Arkansas is usually a non factor. :lol:

Arkansas is the only state where dental floss is as wide as duck tape. Also, most family trees look like blades of grass. :lol:

Great lyrics from The Gourds song "Lower 48" -- "married my cousin when I got to Arkansas...married two more when I got to Utah." :lol:

The game is Starksvegas this weekend will also be the location of the highest concentration of mullets in the world.

Gumbo, do you have a mullet? :lol:

Arkansas traditions: Mullets, single family wedding days, great duck hunting and trout fishing, good football, small sales in dental hygeine business, football players with sexually provocative last names...
