What President???

Postby Quack-killer » Wed Aug 31, 2005 7:52 am

Just wondering if any of you could think of a president that while in office had more disasters than W?

Between Hurricanes like this, Earthquakes, Tornadoes, not to mention 9/11, and dealing with these terrorists all over the world!

Think Kerry would still be there or would he have thrown in the towel?

Just a thought!

Kerry wouldn't have thrown in the towel, he woulda let our country fall into shambles and probably taken over, or on the verge of being taken over, by another governmental system...most likely ran by himself or benefiting himself and the rest of the extremely wealthey liberal society!

How he handles the situation with Hurricane Katrina should help/ or hurt his ratings and ultimatley his legacy..because his support for the Iraq war is steady declining with the public as well as with his supporters.

Unfortunately, Getting into the oil reserves isn't going to help the gas prices. Think of it this way: The only reason gas prices are going out is to weed out those who "like to go check out the disaster" that Katrina havoced upon us. hencing, they are not in desperate need of gas. If everyone does the following like i have seen (going to the pumps and filling 55 gallon drums). They need to raise the price because we will lose that because we are going to gorge our resources, they are going to look at the disaster, and leave NOTHING for those who are really in need of the gas. Got areas here in Mississippi who can't run their gas pumps due to loss of electricity, so what do they? They travel to other towns to get gas and this is were "Gas Shortaages" come from. We are not running out of fuel its there, just not as convienent as before. It will hurt in the long run!

I think there is some validity to what you are saying. It is a self fulfilling prophecy...Since there is a so called shortage, people hoard the gas...filling up drums and so on. Also you have people sitting in their cars for 4 hours running the AC and burning 1/4 tank while waiting in line. It just seems to spiral...We should all try to keep our asses at the house or at work. I think years ago, Johnny Carson jokingly said that their would be a toilet paper shortage. Guess what? People believed him and hoarded it and then a shortage was created. That is how things get out of hand.

Gas here went from $2.47 to $3.00 in a matter of 24 hrs. Its no way we have come short in gas that quick! Also forgive all of my gaffs on the previous post! Spelling etc!
