I bought some Bean 5mm chest waders about four years back. The seam at the top of the butt pad started tearing and eventually started leaking (at the end of the season). So I call up to freeport and tell the lady about it. She says send them back and they will determine if they can be fixed or not and have to be replaced. A week after I shipped them back someone called and said they would be sending me a new pair and would I like to change colors or anything. I told her I wanted a size bigger and whatever the new camo was. I got them a week or so later size 12 advantage wetlands! Their policy is "if at any time you are unsatisfied with any LL Bean product send it back for a replacement or a refund." That's pretty solid. I just want them to figure out what tear resistant, or proof  is and use it on their waders since I tore a good hole in these latest ones and will be sending them back shortly.
At times there is not a satisfactory substitute for well-aimed lead going down range at high velocity.
Great to hear some good news about customer service!!!!!

Since you brought that up Super X Mag, I have a pair of Rocky Bearclaws I bought in 1996 at Surplus City. I also have a pair of Rocky slip on boots that were purchased about 2 years later at the Camo Shoppe in NorthPark. Both have been excellent boot choices, but just this past deer season noticed the same issue with the sole of BOTH boots - they were disentigrating - litterally crumbling apart on the bottom. Even had little holes in them like termites.

I think I'll contact Rocky and see what they tell me.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what I might have done to cause this myselt?? Awfully odd that both boots got problem at same time.
I'd be willing to bet money that Rocky is going to tell you to stuff it! Everyone in my family that has had any Rocky boots has had the same or similar problems either splitting all the way, crumbling or in my case seperating from the boot and becoming a flip flop. Rocky will NEVER see any of my money again. I asked about them on another site before and it turned into a 5 page script of people having the same problems with Rocky boots. Buy you some Danner boots and you wont ever have to find out about their customer service!
