anywhere that sells the remington hevi-shot should have the 7 1/2's. I got mine from Bass Pro, and Cabelas sells them too - Cabelas is cheaper. I'm thinking I will have to reload to get #9's.

I guess because I'm from the steel generation I just don't get it. I bought a several boxes, and had worse luck than steel, more cripples, and a lot more misses. I assume it's because it's slower and I just couldn't train myself to get in front of the bird. Oh well! On another note:

I played with some Hevi 13 this weekend. Since the HS waterfowl loads and the HS turkey loads were the same, I wondered what the Hevi 13 would be like. Anyway, I shot a teal at 35 yards with a #6 Hevi 13 turkey load this weekend through a LM choke. Hamburger. Overkill. Not recomended. Stick with regular HS.

I only shot about 30 rounds, but didn't have any trouble. Two other friends shot it through the season and really liked it. I don't know if you got a bad box or what. I do know I had some misfires with regular Kent steel shells earlier in the season, but they were old shells from last season that had gotten wet. I forget that not everything holds up like Drylocks or Nitromags. Of course you don't pay as much either. Anyway, the Kent Impact performed well according to everyone that shot it that I have spoken to. Hope this helps.

I was shooting HS 3" #6's with good luck. Killed a teal at 20 yards just as effective as a mallard at 40. I don't think the pattern was too tight and I was using a light modified. Will try the 71/2's next year too.

Is the Kent Impact cheaper?

I bought 6 boxes of hevi 3" #6's......only shot up one box, missed all 10 times. I believe they sold me a dud box of hevi.
