Re: How was the weekend
Things slowed way down for my group last weekend. However, I did limit out on pintails one day...in a cypress brake, no less.
Re: How was the weekend
All these good hunts we have had came to an end this morning.
Not a shot fired because their wasnt a duck even in the zip code I dont believe. Only thing we saw was flying way way high going North.
Not going to help much this week warming up then big rain storms on saturday with a high of 74 degrees. Says we are to get 2.5 inches of rain in 1 day! Regardless I will be out in it waiting

May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

I rode a good many roads today in tunica county and saw 1 field that had maybe 200 ducks on it and then a field south of mt trashmore with a couple thousand geese in it and that is it!levi127 wrote:All these good hunts we have had came to an end this morning.

Re: How was the weekend
We had our three best hunts of the season Saturday, Monday, and today with 60% being mallards, 30% Gads, 10% woodies. Four man limits on all three hunts. Two hunts at Schlater and one by airport in Greenwood. Saw lots of ducks at both places. Some buddies of mine over by Fighting Bayou, just a little east, also had their best hunts of the season. Killed six limits both Saturday and Sunday by 9:00 and 9:45 with 80% being mallards.
Re: How was the weekend
i noticed driving through the delta sunday that there were a large concentration of mallards from just south of greenwood all the way through north delta. just below 82 there wasn't much as far as mallards go. of course this was viewing from roads only.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
