Cappes has went down hill over the last few years. Brian Michael's is a better choice in my opinion.

Before i got a my new recurve i shot a 43 pound ben pearson recurve. I shot goldtip 35/55 out of it with a 125 grain tip and 5in helicoil feathers. It seemed to shoot pretty true to me. I dont remember what length the arrows were though.

I shoot one as well. To me it is more fun to shoot than a compound. I shoot a Huntersmoon archery t/d recurve at about 58lbs. You definitely have to practice a lot more. I shoot pretty much everyday. Arrow choice is fairly important you need to match your arrows to your bow.

Arrow choice is pretty important. Your arrows need to be the right spine and weight.
