Best place for ducks? Consistently? What about the Peabody?
The people that are killing ducks this year are just getting lucky. There are no ducks, other than pockets here and there, that people are killing on a consistent basis. I've talked to hunters that hunt the primest of prime hunting spots ...

Question about Muscadine
When you hunt there, do you lay on the bank? or is there enough cover in the ponds themselves to crouch down & hide under the coffee-weed, etc.
I've never hunted there but a buddy of mine has asked me to go next weekend.
Thanks.

Like Wildfowler said, not while regular duck season is open. Last year, after the regular season was over at the end of January, everything that normally was considered"illegal" was made legal when in pursuit of snow geese. The only thing you couldn't, and still can't do, is shoot lead shot. Last ...

Question about WMAs & other public places to hunt...
I was wondering if there is a site online where one can go to find the public hunting places in MS. I know you can go to the link on this site that shows the WMAs, but from what I've seen, not all public places are listed - i.e. - Askew, etc. - & some other under the radar places.
And speaking of ...

Hwy 12 Area Report
After Santa visited my son for the 3rd time in 3 days (parents' house, my house, in'laws), I took a drive along Hwy 12 from Hollandale to Belzoni over to Hwy 49 just north of Eden. Lots of water, a lot less ducks. I talked to a farmer last night who got a letter from the COE in Vicksburg over the ...

MS River hunters
I found out some more information. There was a supreme court ruling on this a few years back and I am in the process of getting a copy of it. If anyone wants a copy, please e-mail me and I'll try to get it to you. This deals particularly with the Chotard/Albermarle lake as it this was a Louisiana ...

MS River hunters
Definately a hot topic. But I do have a story, speaking from an experience of a hunting parnter of mine. About 4 - 5 years ago, we ran into this same situation. At the time we hunted Chotard & Albermarle lakes north of Vicksburg that are fed, rise and fall, by the mighty Mississipp. Tara Wildlife ...

Duck Report 12-15-01
Went to check things out around Chotard/Albermarle lakes north of Vicksburg. Counted 15 or so ducks the whole time. Mainly rode & looked around. Another group with us killed one Woody & a Merganzer. Slim numbers from my account. Rode Steel Bayou & put out trot lines. Caught about a 50 lb. tabby cat ...

Ducks or BS?
I looked at the Weather Channel's web page & it's showing similar weather to what we're having here now for MS for the 21st & 22nd. I hope I'm wrong & you're right! But where are you getting those reports? Cause if that's the case, the boss is gonna miss me toward the end of next week! [img]images ...

I, too, would be interested. Looks like you may have started a bidding. How many, how much, how old, what's included?

Mexico or South America?
My dad & I have been looking into going on a wingshooting trip to Mexico or South America for several years now. I've heard great things about both but curious to know if any of you have been or know of someone that has been. If so, where did you go, who set it up, what was the cost, would you ...
