My dog is about 7 and recently has been doing some crazy things when training and sending him on a blind.

I will line him up and send him on "back" and he takes off for about 10-15 yards and stops and looks back...I then say no and give him the back signal and he goes about another 50 yards and ...

no there is no need for heart guard if you are using Ivomec. I have used it on numerous dogs and they have never had a problem with heartworms. In case you may have missed the decimal in the previous email about dose, it is a tenth of a mL per 10 lbs. of body weight
