Were you there GH22?

This was my first time to help with a calling contest (I was the guy recording and posting the scores) and I enjoyed it a lot. I met a lot of nice folks too.

I listened to a total of 83 routines and an unfathomable number of warmups. Amazing how few obvious mistakes ...

Back in High School, a friend of mine lost her dad when he was duck hunting on the River. It's dangerous and accidents happen. Y'all should do everything possible to ensure that you make it back safely. I love to duck hunt, but I love my family more. It's not worth it even for the best hunt.

Ever ...

You'd be surprised at how well the sound is actually carrying. Take it easy on the call...you can blow too loud in the fields too.

I know what you're sayin' gadwall2!

My fraternity brothers introduced me to bow hunting as a freshman, so I spent my winters in the Refuge, and sring/fall throwing dummies for my Golden Retriever or flyfishing in the lake behind the Hump. I spent a good bit of time wading with the moccasins in ...

She's just testing your commitment to duck hunting. She really just wants you to stand up for yourself and put the things you enjoy ahead of the mundane things like family.

If it's that hard to get to, I hope you don't hunt it without Duckhunt4 (or Duckhunt4 without you). You won't have a problem with hypothermia on opening day, but anybody could easily end up snakebit or in a gator fight...neither would be much fun by yourself

I can't believe opening day is just ...

I made my first call about six or seven years ago. I had some old cypress knees laying around the house so I figured what the heck...it can't be that hard.

This is a picture of my second call - made as a gift for my father. It was done with a pocket knife and a power hand drill. I used a spare ...

In a few years, You and I will have it made...One boy can blow the duck call, the other boy can handle the dog...all we'll have to do is shoot!
