Re: Cutdown?
Don't know about you guys but this was the best year of speck hunting we have had so far. We killed them from opening weekend all the way through to closing. It seems that over in Arkansas we are getting more and more of them showing up every year and am curious if you guys are seeing the same. I ...

Homeowner is going to have a bad day. Going to be tough to articulate you were in fear for your life at a car that was driving away from you while you were on the second floor of your home. Unfortunately for him he let his emotions take over and I believe he is going to pay a stiff price for it.

Re: AR Opener
Hunted at our place Saturday through Monday and we were able to kill ducks every day. The number of ducks we saw Monday morning compared to Saturday was a drop in the bucket. More specks around than I ever remember seeing this early in the year though.

Question for Duck South
Have spent the last several years hunting primarily with an RNT Mondo and it's still on the lanyard. Recently I bought one of the molded Kirk McCullough Custom Cut cut down calls and like it also. The question is has anyone on here ever used the McCullough cut down that he's asking $250 for and is ...

Re: Recommendations on Spec Calls
I have a Redbone and a Riceland. Put them both away and started blowing the RNT Barbelly. Easiest yet I have found to use.

Re: what's the largest spread you ever hunted over?
I like big spreads in a field I just don't like them on a still day. The only way to beat a still day is plenty of jerk strings and motion decoys. We've used the Higdon squirt butt decoys and also the robo ducks with the flappers that throw the water and both seem to help but ducks are still not ...

Re: specks
Specks have gotten in my blood bad over the last couple of years. I have a Redbone, and both a poly and an acrylic Riceland along with a Zink. The acrylic Riceland is by far the best for me out of any of the calls that I own. Have killed them over no decoys and over no more than 8 decoys. We usually ...

Re: How To Conceal My Pit In The Middle of Open Water????
Pile brush up around it and make it look like a big brush pile. I wouldn't just put it right around the pit either, spread it out so it looks like a big blow down. Anything to keep it from looking like a pit sticking up in open water. They see a thousand of those and bounce off of them more than ...

Re: video game violence
Don't know that video games cause the problem but I do believe they do train kids to be more proficient when they do snap. In my opinion they are nothing more than simulators that soldiers or law enforcement train and shoot in different scenarios on. They program themselves to start shooting and not ...

Re: Ask DS: At what point do you...
It boils down to this. Can you articulate the reason you pulled the trigger and are you prepared to bet the rest of your free life and possessions that you are right. Not saying not to confront but be sure you are prepared to defend your position. What happens in seconds is Monday morning ...

I'm going to miss you Elly
Just got home from the beach last night and woke up to find out my dog Elly had passed away overnight. She didn't win any titles but she loved to pick up ducks and every fault she had was more on the master than the dog. I'm going to miss you girl and I hope whoever is hunting with you till I get ...

Regina Pizza in the North end, also sausage and peppers at a Sox game. Sam Adams brewery and the Harpoon brewery tour. Tour of Fenway if you aren't going to a game or even if you are. Ferry from Boston harbor out to the islands in the harbor, they have a state park and an old fort out there with a ...

At this point not sure what to think, don't know if he was trying to make entry into the house or if she just had the misfortune of going outside and finding someone out there attempting to break into their cars. The point that I was making about a night time residential burglar is they generally ...
