Re: Get Ready For Gun Control
If anyone here is interested there is a group that has formed to try and influence legislation in MS to protect your gun rights against the push by the FEDS to take them away. They have a petition right now but time is short. Feinstein is already to move in January and introduce bill to start taking ...

Re: poor little buddy
That may be true, I don't know for sure, but my vet has treated more than one, and has had some test negative for HW.

Re: poor little buddy
The slow kill method is very simple, it's just advantage multi every month and a course of doxycycline at the beginning. The doxy weakens a parasite that lives inside the heartworm and helps to eliminate it at least that is my understanding. So you are only paying for the monthly HW treatment anyway ...

Re: Chocolate Lab Female Free to Good Pet Home
Dee Dee is doing great, leg all healed up and she really needs a home. I can't keep her with me. Thought I would try once more, I can send you pictures by email or FB. Just can't get the things to show up here on DuckSouth.

Re: Surpise Addition
She probably would benefit from oxytocin shot to clean her out, and I would do it if she were my dog, just to make sure nothing remains. Sometimes the first litter can be small or like this one. Next litter may be more normal with 5-6 pups. I doubt that she will ever be one that produces 10-12 pups ...

Chocolate Lab Female Free to Good Pet Home
I brought back a dog from South Carolina, from a breeder I know over there. Mostly cause I wanted to give her a home. Meanwhile my son has decided to add a couple of pups here, and I cannot manage with the extra work load (over the hill). She is btw 6-7, sweet as can be, AKC out of Coppertone ...

Re: poor little buddy
I could take her to get treated, but don't see the use in putting her thru that. At her age it would be very hard. And she is improving. What's more, she has never had symptoms, for that I am thankful. She seems strong in all ways. I'm keeping her on it. I looked into those monthly shots, and was ...

Blue Green Algae Reading
I remember several years ago reading about dogs becoming ill in MS due to the blue green algae in water. This is a good article that I just read in case some are looking to learn about it. Many new dog owners may not be aware of it either.

Thanks to both! I'll check in later Stephen.
I bought some dvd's and books for him, but know that in person working with other dogs and owners will help him more in the long run.

Looking for Training Group in Canton/Madison area
All these many years I've loved the labrador retriever and wished one of my sons would take up that love of the breed. You could knock me over with a feather when my middle son finally expressed an interest this year and wants to learn all about the lab and hunting. Course, I'm happy about it, I'm ...
