Vengence is a boomerang that WILL come back, not might come back, but WILL come back, and it is not worth it. You've won your battle, lick your wounds and feel fortunate, only a fool chases the losers home, to their turf. I see you quote the bible, do you actually read it???

Wingman. The elk use the dark timber for cover and shelter. In a good snowstorm, thats where they will bed down. The elk move in and out of the dark timber. The will also use it for traveling when they are under pressure. It is spruce and douglas fir. It kind of reminds you of an old thick pure ...

I lived in Colorado for 10 years, did some guiding. Always hunted the october season. DARK TIMBER, DARK TIMBER, DARK TIMBER. The weather determines when they stop bugling, if they are bugling when you get there, great. If you get one worked up real good, Get a tree between you and him, it's not just ...

duckhunter203, I can tell you what I do every year. I am gonna catch some flack over this, but what the heck. It has never failed me or any of my buddies. Toward the end of each years duck season, I will save a couple of ducks, whole, and freeze them in those big zip lock bags. I will usually keep a ...

Listen, I once had a lab that would fetch ducks like there was no tomorrow, but you couldnt make that dog pick up a dove. Never did figure it out, my old dad said they must have tasted bad to that particular dog.

Very well said Captn T. I have a five year old child being raised the same way. And she is the most well adjusted child we know. Oddly enough, I have a friend of many years that subscribed to the shock collar, etc, etc of the "new age training". He trained his dog to the "nth" degree, that dog would ...

Judge, I'm with you on this one. You told it right. I sure do regret some of the trainin' I gave one or two of my dogs. It wasn't necessary, they fetched all the same in the end. And who cares if they didnt do it perfect, nobody I hunt with sets much standard in perfection, only in a perfectly ...

You have described what were probably domestic or semi domestic muscovy ducks. They will act like wild ducks and fool ya. We worked a flock right into our dekes last year. They eat pretty good. Muscovys come from south america where they live wild. It doesnt take much for them to go wild again. The ...

I left out one thing. The very best Dog I ever had the pleasure to hunt with was a Lab/chessie mix, bought out of a pet store in a mall. His name was Boomer, just a duck dog, all in one place, at one time. He belonged to a friend of mine. Boomer had grit, desire, ability and nothing even close to a ...
