Re: Stolen Boat...Just Cannot Stand a Thief!
I have not been in the area since last duck season, so I have not had a chance to do any sleuthing around. Sure hope I do run into it one day, since it will be in my possession before I leave wherever I see it.

Stolen Boat...Just Cannot Stand a Thief!
I doubt there is any chance of locating and recovering my 14' jon boat, but I wanted to post up some information just in case. Right before Christmas, my brother took his daughters hunting and called me later that morning to tell me one of our jon boats, a push pole, and couple of other things had ...

Re: Bald Eagles
We've had a few immature ones flying around each hunt thus far and had a mature one land in the top of a tree where we used to have a blind years ago. Saw three in one tree a few hundred yards down from us.

Need some identification help
Fellas,
Can anyone help me with a positive identification on what is shown in these photos? I have an idea but know the DS brain trust will most likely be able to confirm with relative ease. Prompt responses would be appreciated if I am seeing what I think I am seeing.
Thanks

3spop,
I am so sorry to read about your house flooding and am praying for you and your family. We lived through a flood and recovery in 2010 and I remember the stress and strain of the flood. Please PM if you would like, and I will be glad to send you my cell number if you would like to talk ...

Engineers
Thought I would leave this here for the engineers in the group and for those who just wonder about us sometimes.

Re: Building a cabin
When I grow up and have some serious folding money, I want to build a couple of house/barn structures like these down at the farm. :D These folks built one place first and should have the second one wrapped up in the next couple of months. These places are built in the river flood plain (with the ...

Re: My goose magnet
I've taken him on two duck hunts this year. Both times we've come home with geese. Canadians sure are easy to hit, eh? Low and slow, and fly in a nice straight line. Only time I've had this happen is on these two hunts.

Ask DS (OT): Vacation
All right fellas, I need some help from the Duck South Brain Trust to get me out of some hot water at the homestead. I will be at a conference in San Diego throughout much of this year's spring break so this logistical fact has gone over just great with my wife. The spring break week in Washington D ...

Re: New Job
Here's one thing to note.... If you are ever on a video conference (using laptop with camera), make sure you are not laying on the bed in your underwear.... thinking you turned off the camera.
And your wife or girlfriend doesn't jump on the bed next to you... naked.

Re: New Job
Thank you for the kind comments about the office. We had built the space out from the larger room with the intent of making it an office but the space became the repository for junk and was not really used. My wife and two couples that are friends of ours decided to surprise me with this finished ...

Re: Big River headed up..........
I sure hope hunters are aware of the shutting down of non-waterfowl hunting west of Highway 61 as the game wardens are definitely out checking folks. We came out Sunday morning and had one step from the edge of the field to check us. Thankfully, Daddy was a stickler about dotting the i's and ...
